Heady Wax Fiends is proud to present for the first time on vinyl, the Fretliners debut album as the July, 2024 Record Of The Month as a HWF-RC self-press.

The Fretliners took the bluegrass world by storm in 2023 by winning The Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Contest and following it up with a win at the Rockygrass Band Competition. They didn’t stop there though, they picked up a nomination for the 2023 Momentum: band of the year award by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

They recorded their debut album at Vermillion Road Studio in Longmont, Colorado with Sally Van Meter handling the producer duties. The session was mixed by Eric Wiggs and then mastered for vinyl by David Glasser. We tapped Well Made Music for the lacquers before we had them pressed by our favorite pressing plant, Gotta Groove Records. The jacket artwork by Adam Carstens calls back the nostalgia of a classic album cover from the golden age of bluegrass music. This release is guaranteed to become an instant classic in the HWF-RC lineup.
