J.D. Crowe & The New South’s The New South is a foundational modern-bluegrass album, joining immaculate ensemble playing with a repertoire that helped expand what a bluegrass record could contain. Crowe’s commanding banjo anchors the performances while the group’s vocals, instrumental balance, and enduring version of “Old Home Place” give the album its lasting identity. This HWF Art Pressing is a limited-edition Wax Mage created by Gotta Groove Records. Every copy carries its own intricate color movement and one-of-one visual character. Limited to just 25 copies, the edition gives a landmark recording an equally singular physical presentation.
